High-Need Small Places

Mapped places are small communities with populations from 1,000 to 10,000 and a Strong fit classification.

The score is a percentile-based index from 0 to 100. Higher scores indicate stronger signs of limited local resources, based on ACS indicators such as income, poverty, SNAP participation, vacancy, housing burden, home value, and internet access.
